Today we have moved to Matera.  It’s a stunning place steeped in history. Apparently the oldest continually inhabited place in the world.. Or something like that. The stassi is where people dug into the rock to create cave houses and cave churches. Totally unique and a world heritage site. And you can see why. Layer upon layer of history. Had a fantastic tour guide who showed us around for 2 hours. She was fab, full of knowledge and a TEFL teacher and Cambridge examiner.  So we had a chat about that too.

My feet are well and truly done in but it’s been a great few days.   Back to Lecce tomorrow …
